It seems that the majority of people on this site are Americans. I have nothing against Americans, of course, but I'm just not prepared to travel from England for a date! So what I'm asking is, are there any Brits on this site?

You know your not alone but hey I quite like some of the American and Canadian accents they're just so adorable but I get your point on the travelling side of things.
I will have to see if I can dig up some single goth/metal girlies for you next time I'm out at the new ret.
